Mabon marks the autumn equinox - the second time in the year when day equals night. This is the balance before darkness overtakes light. The second harvest of fruits, vegetables, and wine is gathered. This is the "Pagan Thanksgiving" - a time of deep gratitude for what we've received and preparation for the difficult months ahead. We preserve food, balance aspects of our lives, and appreciate the abundance we have.
